This talk centres on William Bayly, farmer’s son, astronomer to Captain Cook and Headmaster of Portsmouth Naval Academy, 1785-1806. Talk will be given by Dr James Thomas, University of Portsmouth.£1 to attend, students free, no need to book, just turn up.
